Twitter used for action-Twestival 2009

I’m sure everyone has heard about twitter and all of the amazing ways to use it. Who knew such a simple micro blogging platform can have a million ways of being used, and that is what design is all about. Taking an original purpose and expanding it and crafting it for every possible use  as a way to get a message across.

All across the world on February 12th 2009 through the use and power of twitter there  will be an event that aims to raise money for the charity:water organization.  By rallying together globally, under short timescales, for a single aim on the same day, the Twestival hopes to bring awareness to this global crisis. I live in NYC so I will be attending the event at M:2(open bar from 7:30 to 9, if you drink), details can be found here at the Twestival home page for an event in your area.
